At HOVER we’re building the future of 3D property data with a platform that lets anyone generate accurate 3D models by simply taking a few photos with their smartphone. Our goal is to change the way you see the world by building the world’s most comprehensive and accurate database of physical properties.

Our Start

HOVER is based on a technology platform that we originally created for the U.S. Military Special Operations. In 2012 we began delivering three-dimensional maps derived from aerial photographs so the military troops could get a better idea of what they were walking into. We've now migrated that technology into a solution that works on a standard smartphone, and we're using it to transform a market that has been notoriously difficult to change: home improvement. Leadership

Founder and CEO

A.J. Altman

A.J. Altman is Founder & CEO of HOVER, a 3D software company based in San Francisco. Prior to founding HOVER, A.J. was an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He began his career as an engineer at Intel Corporation. A.J. is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

VP of Finance & Operations

Yevgenia Fink

Yevgenia leads accounting, finance, operations, and HR functions at HOVER. Over her 20-year career in finance, Yevgenia has held a number of leadership roles at both private and public companies, including Hipmunk, a travel-planning metasearch site, Glu Mobile, a mobile gaming company, This moment, and Nimblefish, both marketing software start-ups. During her nine-year tenure at Intel, Yevgenia led various company-wide strategic initiatives, including pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial management with a minor in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.

VP of Product

Derek Halliday

Derek leads product management, design, and analytics at HOVER. He brings more than 12 years of experience in strategic product development spanning Enterprise, SMB, and Consumer markets. Prior to joining HOVER in 2015, Derek served as Director of Product Management for Lookout, where he led strategic product development across Lookout's core technology stack and launched its first Enterprise-focused product line, growing annual revenue to more than $25MM. Derek graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Molecular Biology and a minor in Computer Science. An avid skier, swimmer, and whitewater raft guide, on the weekends you'll almost always find Derek somewhere outdoors.

EVP Corp Development & Strategy

Kevin Reilley

Kevin leads business development and corporate strategy at HOVER, and is responsible for identifying and evaluating new strategic opportunities that align with HOVER’s growth initiatives. He brings over 25 years of experience building successful technology companies, and previously served as President at Pictometry, SVP and General Manager at CPA Global, and VP of Sales at LexisNexis. Kevin is a graduate of Hamilton College.

VP of Sales

Ali Azhar

Ali leads sales, account management and customer success at HOVER, where he is responsible for hiring and retaining top sales talent, implementing the company’s Go-To-Market Strategy, and creating programs to retain and grow HOVER’s customer base. Prior to moving to Silicon Valley 6 years ago, he was a successful entrepreneur, founding and selling 3 businesses. In 2011 he moved to the Bay Area to pursue a career in software sales leadership, working for MongoDB. During his tenure at MongoDB, he was both the top individual contributor as well as the top sales leader globally. Ultimately, Ali ran MongoDB’s mid-market sales teams nationally and renewals programs globally.

Nate Medland

Nate leads operations at HOVER. Nate brings over 15 years of experience at a variety of companies, including Intel and most recently 6 years at Broadcom. Nate holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Indiana University. Outside the office, Nate enjoys traveling to play new golf courses and is an aspiring hobby vintner.

VP of Growth

Matt Lewis

Matt leads the Growth team at HOVER. Prior to HOVER Matt spent 5 years at Pinterest working in a variety of leadership roles including operations, growth, and sales. Matt graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Business and has an MBA from Columbia Business School. Matt also served 6 years in the US Navy.

VP of Engineering

Peter Fry

Peter leads the Engineering team at HOVER. Prior to HOVER, Peter spent four years at Mavenlink growing teams and overseeing API, Integrations, Infrastructure, and Security. Peter has been building teams for 10 years, and software since before the Internet was cool. Peter enjoys cooking, downhill mountain biking, and racing motorcycles in his spare time.
